Whether you are struggling with trauma, anxiety, parenting stress, relationship issues or body image, you can feel better. The more we realize our power and our right to set boundaries, value ourselves and choose the path of our life, the more happiness we cultivate.
I am a clinical social worker with 15 years’ experience and love working with clients to find their whole-hearted, authentic selves. I have a master’s in social work from the University of Washington and am licensed in Washington state as an independent clinical social worker. My previous experience includes working in a state psychiatric hospital, an emergency department and as a county designated crisis responder.
I specialize in feminist counseling for women and girls. We will examine your life story through narrative therapy, challenge distorted thoughts and beliefs through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and improve your ability to cope with anxiety, depression and stress by practicing the distress tolerance skills from dialectical behavioral therapy. However, the most powerful element in therapy is you! By taking time each week to care for your heart and mind, you can make the changes you desire. Regardless of the problems you may be facing, you have choices and the power to change your life.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you grow the life you want.
